Samiotes Consultants, Inc. is currently providing civil engineering and land surveying services for the Perkins School for the Blind on the new 17,000 gross square foot Grousbeck Center for Students and Technology located on their 38-acre campus. This center will catapult Perkins into the forefront of technology for students who are blind and deaf blind by increasing Perkins’ ability to integrate technology into every phase of a Perkins education, including academics, music, art, life skills, mobility training and recreation.
SCI’s scope, in addition to surveying, permitting, utility design, vehicular hardscape and stormwater management, included a campus-wide parking study that detailed existing and proposed counts and numerous alternatives for reconfiguration. The project received approval from the Conservation Commission, Planning Board and Zoning Board of Appeals.
