Stephen Garvin is President of Samiotes Consultants, Inc. He is a graduate of the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth (formerly Southeastern Massachusetts University) with a BS in Civil Engineering. He is a Registered Professional Civil Engineer in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, as well as other New England states. Additionally, he is an approved Soil Evaluator and Certified Title 5 System Inspector in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. He is a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers and the Boston Society of Civil Engineers. Mr. Garvin has also been a member of the "Leadership For Change" panel for Build Boston and a guest on the WBNW talk show addressing the effects of the revised Title 5 regulations.
Mr. Garvin is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the firm, and serves as the principal contact for all marketing and proposals.
Charles Samiotes is the founder and Chief Executive Officer Emeritus of Samiotes Consultants, Inc. He has over 30 years of experience in the civil engineering, consulting, and real estate development fields. Mr. Samiotes, a graduate of the University of Lowell (Lowell Technological Institute) with a BS in Civil Engineering, is a Registered Professional Civil Engineer in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and other states, a member of the National Council of Engineering Examiners, an approved Soil Evaluator, a Certified Title 5 System Inspector, and a Licensed Construction Supervisor in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Mr. Samiotes has served on numerous boards and committees, including the Massachusetts Planners Association and the DEP roundtable for the development of Title 5 regulations. In 2001, he was the recipient of a Congressional Medal of Honor for his involvement in community service.
Despina Samiotes is a founding Principal, Chief Financial Officer, and Director of Office Management/Human Resources for Samiotes Consultants, Inc. Mrs. Samiotes has played a key role in the expansion and growth of the office since its inception in 1987. She is a graduate of Smith College with a BA in Biochemistry, and is a recipient of the Alvan T. Viola American Cancer Society Fellowship Award for cancer research. Additionally, she is a Registered Real Estate Salesperson in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and has been involved with real estate development for over 20 years.
